Goa: Queenie Victoria and her son, Stephen Kumar, have achieved a landmark feat, becoming the first mother-son relay team to successfully complete the challenging open-water swim from Vagator to Candolim. Their remarkable achievement, conducted under the rigorous standards of the World Open Water Swimming Association (WOWSA)-certified Open Water Swimming Academy (OWS Academy), has set a new benchmark in Indian open-water swimming.
Facing the demanding conditions of the Arabian Sea, the duo battled powerful currents and unpredictable tides, showcasing exceptional endurance and unwavering teamwork.
