Richard Levi impresses as the Red Carpet in IVPL Delhi wins by 22 runs against the Chhattisgarh Warriors


<p>At the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex in Greater Noida, Red Carpet Delhi beat Chhattisgarh Warriors in the second match of the Indian Veteran Premier League (IVPL) by a margin of 22 runs thanks to a scorching century from Richard Levi.</p>

<p>Red Carpet Delhi set the tone early on, scoring an impressive 255/4 in the 20 overs permitted, thanks to a late blitz from Thisara Perera and a brilliant century from Levi.</p>
<p>Naman Ojha and Saurabh Tiwary gave it their all, but the Chhattisgarh Warriors were unable to keep up and folded for 233/10.</p>
<p>Chhattisgarh Warriors needed to score 45 runs in the last two overs, but they could only muster 22 before folding for 233/10.</p>
<p>Samiullah Beigh got four wickets for Red Carpet Delhi, while Bipul Sharma claimed three wickets each.</p>
<p>Red Carpet Delhi was asked to bat first, and they had a great start, scoring 72 runs in the first 7 overs. In the ninth over, Munaf Patel got rid of Red Carpet Delhi captain Herschelle Gibbs in an attempt to halt the scoring frenzy.</p>
<p>Still, Richard Levi persisted in his assault. In only 8 overs, Levi helped Red Carpet Delhi go from 72/1 to 190/2.</p>
<p>The opening batsman scored 133 runs in 52 balls with a variety of smashes, including six fours and fifteen sixes. Thisara Perera added to their score with a fast-bowling 38 off of 14 balls.</p>
